HTML is a markup language. It is so strong in web because it is the language that search engines can understand to its best. Although there are many more technologies put forth, html still remains same. Before advancement came in the field of web, html was used to put files online. These files consist of many paragraphs. Hyper texts were used to link files. As the Internet got developed, many forms of improvement in html came and technocrats thought of giving more interactivity to web pages. DHTML (Dynamic HTML) is an interactive web page. When we find rollovers and drop down menus in a web page, it is DHTML. Previously dhtml is also used for gaming purpose. So what makes a normal html to dhtml?. It's simple, using client-side scripting we can create dhtml files. Client side script is nothing but codes which gives interactivity to a web page on the client sides. These codes will be in the dhtml file itself without causing load to server. The script that we generally use is javascript. VB script is also a scripting language used in networking the Microsoft Windows machines. Although we have VB script as a scripting language JS (Javascript) is mainly preferred because VB script runs only in Internet Explorer. Netscape also allows VB script. But javascript is a widely accepted scripting language and it is also browser friendly.
