
LCD (Liquid crystal display) can be seen everywhere. Starting from small screens used in devices to computer monitors, digital clock to home theatres we can see its impact. It is an optical device mainly used in electronics. LCD have resolutions like CRT monitors and works on the principle of native resolution. Native resolution is fixed resolution where a specific resolution images will be sharper and quality will be good. These liquid are granules. Higher the granules, sharper is the image. LCD filters works on back light. Cold cathode flour scent bulb is used to produce back light in LCD. Those lamps helps to emit more light in LCD monitors.LCD's have smaller gamut ( types, subset of colors) than normal CRT's and plasma.
LCD which used thin film transistor wont have a better viewing angle than CRT or plasma. The applications for LCD is huge. They are used in televisions, monitors, small screen displays etc. In televisions, SHARP is the largest producer of LCD TV ranging from 13 to 45 inches. SONY comes next to sharp. Advantages of LCD's are they are thin and consume much lesser power than CRT monitors. The refreshing rates of LCD monitors is almost zero
